Responsibilities

 

The Clinical Coordinator assists and evaluates students, establishes and maintains clinical sites and contracts, schedules and supervises students’ clinicals, advises students, and provides classroom instruction in accordance with the program’s objectives.

 

Complete work in a timely manner including preparing clinical assignments, and institutional and program reports.

 

Establish and maintain contracts between the school and quality clinical sites including obtaining, proper clearances from the Legal Department and appropriate approval, explaining unique requirements of a clinical site.

 

Maintain accurate clinical information data base.

 

Collect and maintain appropriate documentation related to clinical education

Advise the school director and program director of the general effectiveness of the clinical education portion of the program.

 

 Advise students especially about clinical site choices and relationships with clinical faculty.

 Assign students to clinical sites. Supervise students completing clinical affiliations including phone or on site visits, mediating conflicts, establishing specific learning objectives, grading of assignments, determining and recording attendance, and assigning grades. Supervision during clinical affiliations is to ensure that the experience is adequate and that the student is achieving a satisfactory level of performance.

 

Conduct periodic visit to clinical sites and periodically evaluates the effectiveness of all clinical sites.

 Assist the School Director and Program Director in maintaining programmatic accreditation, especially as related to meeting standards for clinical education.

 

 Effectively performs duties, these and others, as assigned.

 

Assist recent graduates, alumni and current students in career placement in accordance with all school and company policies and procedures, all applicable federal, state regulations and all accrediting agencies standards and requirements.



 

 





 

Requirements



2 years full time experience in the field

Graduate from an accredited program

 

Preferred 

ARDMS/CCI registered or Registry Eligible

Bachelors Degree
