For further information visit our website www.kaplanprofessionalschools.com OverviewAs Director of Online Marketing & E-commerce, youll be responsible for defining our E-Commerce strategy, outlining the website roadmap for our numerous consumer-facing websites, and spearheading our online marketing activities to maximize ROI: - Online Marketing Strategy and Management - Responsible for the strategy, execution, and management of our interactive marketing/advertising initiatives for the KPS business unit. This includes managing the agency/vendor partnerships to support these efforts (e.g., SEM, SEO, Email Marketing, Web Analytics, etc.). - Define the Optimal Consumer Experience & Website Roadmap - Defining the appropriate mix of e-commerce websites, their required features and functionality, use of current / new technology, and work with internal and external technology resources and partners to develop them. - E-commerce Support for multiple KPS business units (i.e. Location-Based Schools, Online School) - Provide leadership and guidance to a wide variety of website stakeholders, e.g. School Directors, Marketing Managers, etc. to drive e-commerce revenue. - Analytics, Metrics, & Reporting - Track and report out on demand, conversion rates, acquisition costs, ROI, and related key performance metrics. Includes the identification of best practices, defining optimal site paths, and driving solutions for continuous improvement.- Team Management and Development - Responsible for leading one or more direct reports: E-Commerce / Web Development Manager(s).Position Responsibilities - Develop and champion a guiding vision for the e-commerce sales channel at all levels of the organization. - Direct the day-to-day online operations relating to e-commerce with oversight responsibility for key performance drivers and resulting operating metrics.- Ensure best practices across all e-commerce-related efforts and initiatives, and push the envelope to advance the online channel in a manner appropriate for KPS and the quality it demands for its customers.- Understand the needs of internal and external customers, the business, and the competitive landscape. Translate this understanding into a vision and strategic plan for research and e-commerce design. - Monitor e-business trends and advancements that will assist KPS in meeting its e-commerce business objectives.Qualifications:- 7-10 years experience in marketing; 3-5 years as a director / senior director with proven ability to build a sizable, scalable, profitable, e-commerce business.- Significant B2C experience in online marketing, campaign development and management, customer acquisition and retention. - Must be passionate about understanding the customer experience and purchasing behavior, and be able to translate those findings into meaningful, actionable and measurable insight.- Strong skills in strategy and planning, budgeting, merchandising and marketing, and vendor selection and management.- Must have a demonstrated ability to increase conversion rates and acquire new clients by utilizing tools such as search engine optimization, search engine marketing, email marketing, blogging or other new marketing vehicles.- Possess leadership skills and people management skills derived from having direct responsibility for building and managing a cohesive, high-performing marketing team. - Ability to identify, communicate and inspire an organization around the next generation of e-commerce experience to dramatically grow the business, and be able to work through tough issues and overcome challenges while maintaining good relationships. - Proven track record in managing external relationships with partners and vendors. - Must possess excellent creative, organizational, verbal and written communication skills.- Deep understanding of leading web analytics tools (e.g., Ominitures SiteCatalyst)- BS/BA college degree required, MBA or MS desirable.Kaplan's global success is highlighted by growth from $100MM USD to $1.7B USD in just 12 years.
