Director,Web Group

Position Summary:Underminimum supervision and with wide latitude for independent judgment,oversee the Pratt webspace and website staff. Responsibilities includemanagement of the user experience, information architecture, and webapplication development of the Institute webspace.
Job Responsibilities:-Manage the Institute webspace, comprised of the website, portal and webservices, by establishing and maintaining standards for the total userexperience encompassing the user interface and supporting technologies.
- Advise and create web-based solutions for campus academic and administrative departments as specified by the Vice President.
- Work in collaboration with the department of Public Relations andCommunications in implementing the Institute’s visual graphic identityonline.
- Introduce new ideas for the Institute webspace.
- Implement and maintain content management tools for the web structure and intranet portals.
- Develop campus solutions for the Institute in concert with other members of the IT division.
- Hire and manage the Web Group staff.
- Identify emerging trends coupled with divisional goals andprovide a comprehensive vision for an 18 month to three yeardevelopment horizon.
- Perform all other related duties as assigned.
Salary: Commensurate with qualifications and experience.
Qualifications:Education:
Bachelor’s degree required.

Experience:
Must have a minimum of five years’ experience planning, developingand managing websites. Experience with a higher education environmentrequired. Proven experience in managing large scale web implementationsfrom inception to completion required.

Skills:
Demonstrated strong grasp of website usability issues; andunderstanding of design practices required. Must have a highlydeveloped sense of design demonstrated by a strong portfolio of work.

Other:
Must be attentive to detail and have excellent organizational, interpersonal and verbal and written communications skills.
