Director for Academic and Learning Technologies

The Dean of Medicine has an outstanding opportunity for a Director for Academic and Learning Technologies. This individual will be responsible for:
• Conducting and maintaining a review of campus and departmental resources to support educational technology in the School of Medicine (SOM), developing long-term academic technology and distance learning strategic plan
• Collaborating with the Department of Medical and Education and Biomedical Informatics (MEBI) and school leadership to plan for development of a data warehouse.
• Overseeing the implementation of a long-term strategic plan for educational technology and distance learning, coordinating as appropriate with SOM IT staff and upper campus IT staff.

Master’s degree or equivalent in Education or Educational Technology, with a strong background in Computer Science AND a minimum of five years experience performing progressively more complex and responsible software implementation projects and IT management, preferably involving educational technology is required.
