Director of Admissions, International EducationOur client, a international education organization (K-12), is seeking  a Director of Admissions for their faculty admissions and certification department.  The core focus of this role is to advise and influence senior education policymakers in the creation of educational policies and initiatives that promote our client’s international education mission.  Further, this position will oversee our client’s admissions criteria, evaluation standards, educational equivalency and accreditation program. Essential Functions of the Role· Develop the strategic vision around our client’s admissions criteria, evaluation standards, educational  equivalency and accreditation· Serve in a governmental relations capacity influencing and achieving multi-state/multi-district policy changes · Manage the admissions team to ensure high quality and timely review of initial application screening process.  · Define certification policies for teachers based on an understanding and interpretations of national and multi-state certification policies · Secure endorsement of all state education agencies in the states where our client operates or plans to expand· Serve as expert and resource with clients (districts, superintendents, and principles), strategic partners and education agencies in position our client as the leading authority on teacher standards and selectionRequirements· Bachelor’s degree is required· 8+ years of management/leadership experience preferably in an education environment· Experience educating and influencing key state and education officials · Knowledge of practices, policies and organization of the Department of Education · Excellent team development and people management skills· Familiarity with university level programs of academic study · Ability to interpret national and multi-state education licensure policies to make sound judgments· Experience working in a US public school system or international school settingAs a professional search firm, we will only be responding to those inquiries that most closely align with the stated requirements.
