The NCLEX Development Team Director is responsible for providing operational management to the NCLEX Development Team to maintain and enhance the NCLEX testing program through effective work coordination and organization. The NCLEX Development Team Director also takes full responsibility to oversee and manage the NCLEX psychometric and item-development processes and related research activities, to represent Pearson VUE at NCSBN meetings and conferences, and to maintain positive working relationships with NCSBN staff and committees. * Advanced degree in psychology, education, testing, or nursing PhD preferred* 5 to 10 years of management experience* Experience directing a development team for a large-scale testing program* High-stakes testing experience preferredSkills, Knowledge and Abilities: * Excellent interpersonal skills* Strong project-management skills* Ability to manage through system* Strong awareness of quality improvement* Effective team leading skills* Strong technical (measurement and assessment-related) skills
