(OFFICES IN ANN ARBOR AND HOWELL, MI)

 

BASIC FUNCTION: Assist and prepare students and alum to successfully manage their careers.

 

CHARACTERISTIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

 Provide career counseling and job placement services for students and alum.  Maintain on-campus office hours and email contact to allow for student and alumni interaction.

 Place students into on-campus internships Assist Dean with co-operative learning placement preparation. Train supervisors and provide process documentation as needed.  Provide activity reports as needed. 

 Serve as institutional resource and provide leadership for the student service team and other Cleary professionals.

 Provide curriculum design/documentation for the Career Management Core curriculum: INT and CAR, courses.  Select instructional materials as needed. 

 Teach INT and CAR courses and/or select and supervise other faculty who teach these courses. 

Prepare Career Services & Placement information for the web-based new student orientation and MBA 500 to acquaint students with the alumni On-line Community and career services and resources. Serve as a faculty resource for BAC 101 and 300 classes.

 Develop relationships with employers interested in hiring Cleary graduates.  Coordinate job postings and employer job fairs on campus.  Coordinate employer contacts with recruiting staff. 

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:Bachelor's degree required. One to three years experience in college level teaching and career counseling, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

 

EMPLOYMENT CLASSIFICATION:  Full-Time Regular
