Director of Client Services for the Annual Fund

As the University's Office of Advancement expands its capabilities in support of an ambitious eight year capital campaign, employment opportunities abound.  One such position is that of the Director of Client Services for the Annual Fund.

 

Reporting to the Senior Director for Marketing and Communications, the Director of Client Services for the Annual Fund is the primary client manager for the Annual Fund Team within Advancement.  This person will provide strategic guidance to clients on an ongoing basis.  They will anticipate and address their clients’ communication needs.  They will manage the department’s resources to deliver greatest value to clients, ensuring all client marketing programs are aligned with the client’s business objectives, Advancement goals, and University aspirations.  The client manager will work with the Annual Fund team to develop and execute outreach strategies and tactics, including direct mail campaigns, email campaigns, web communications and other strategies, and tactics to help the Annual Fund achieve its alumni participation and financial goals.

 

REQUIREMENTS: Bachelor’s degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, English, Marketing or a related field –graduate studies in Marketing or Business Administration are a plus; at least ten years of marketing/advertising, project management and client service experience,  with particular emphasis in direct marketing.  Agency and/or fundraising experience a plus, as is Education or nonprofit experience.  The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in developing and implementing comprehensive marketing/direct marketing campaigns and project plans, as well as successful experience managing cross-functional teams with competing agendas. Key skills sets include: project management, writing, campaign analysis, negotiating, problem-solving, diplomacy, and team-building.
