Director of Development
The Wilmington Music School, (WMS) Wilmington, Delaware, seeks Director of Development. WMS is an independent community music school founded in 1924, accredited by NASM & ACCPAS with an enrollment of 2600 at two branch locations and 20 outreach sites, now serving all of Delaware and residents from three contiguous states (PA, MD, NJ).
This is a full time position. Candidates must conduct a comprehensive range of fund raising programs, including annual and planned giving with emphasis on completion of a capital campaign that has raised over 50% of a $5.5 million goal.
Candidates must have minimum of five years experience (with arts and/or education fund raising preferred), and a bachelor’s degree in related field. Verifiable track record of continued growth in former positions and excellent communication/interpersonal and organization skills required. Must be adept at grant writing and with Raiser’s Edge software. Reports to President/CEO. Compensation based upon experience; excellent benefits. Visit: www.wilmingtonmusic.org.
