SUMMARY OF POSITION

This is a senior Human Resources position. We are looking for a driven, articulate individual with exceptional analytical skills, a keen eye for talented people, maturity in dealing with complex situations, the ability to relate to senior management and the ability to market the organization internally and externally.

 

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Recruiting and Talent Management:Implement a talent management program for approximately 150 full-time and 25 part-time US based employees and 50 ex-patriot employees of CIEE  Analyze recruiting process, creating and managing overall strategy and proceduresWork with management to recruit new staff members, including writing job specs, screening candidates and employment negotiationWork with senior management to assure staff continuity at all levels of the organizationEmploy and deploy temporary and seasonal staff as required

Employee Relations:

· Work with senior management to revise and implement annual performance evaluation process

· Develop a formal training plan for various levels within the organization

· Work with management to develop and deliver new hire orientation

· Manage employee relations including disciplinary issues

· Oversee processing of all new employee paperwork and maintenance of files

· Maintain updated and current employee handbook

· Oversee HR newsletter and intranet communications

Benefits and Compensation:

· Analyze compensation structure and advise accordingly

· Work with Broker to oversee annual renewal process for health benefits

· Research and implement additional and alternative options for benefits and compensation programs

· Oversee management and administration of payroll and health and retirement plans

· Oversee compliance and requirements of Short/Long term Disability, Workers Compensation, Flexible Spending Accounts; Voluntary Short-term Disabilities and CIEE’s 403 B plan

Other:

· Create appropriate budgets for areas of responsibility and manage within those budgets

· Develop and maintain standard operating procedures for all areas of responsibility

· Review policies to ensure compliance with federal, state and local law

 

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILLS

· Bachelors Degree or equivalent required

· 7+ years of business or HR experience including at least 3 years of managerial experience

· Excellent presentation, written and oral communications skills

· Ability to interact professionally and effectively at all levels of the organization

· Flexibility and ability to multi-task in a fast paced environment

· Strong leadership skills

· Strong administrative and organizational skills

· Strong reasoning ability and problem solving skills

· Strict attention to detail

· Ability to maintain confidentiality

· Excellent personal organization and time management skills

· Strong PC skills – proficiency in Word and Excel
