Director of Information, SAT Program

 

The College Board, a national educational organization, is conducting a search for a Director who will manage product communications, content development, and publication production for the SAT Program, the College Board’s flagship product. This position reports to a Vice President, and is resident at our New York City headquarters. .

 

POSITION SUMMARY

The Director will be  responsible for managing product information, content development, production, and vendor management activities related to the use of the SAT by students, parents, and educators.  The Director is, in essence, the SAT Product Owner of product information related to the SAT and will ensure that information that students and educators see about the SAT Program is consistent, helpful, usable, easy to understand, effective, efficient, and attractive.  There are staff management, planning and development, and ongoing operational aspects to this job.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

·  Ownership of the effectiveness and usability of product information about the SAT and related programs across all delivery channels including print publications and Internet-delivered content.

·  Manages vendor publication work plans, and manages and monitors all SAT content-related budgets.

·  Works closely with the SAT Program Strategy & Analytics team to align publications and information with SAT Program objectives and strategies.

·  Works closely with the SAT Program Operations team and the College Board’s Marketing & Communications team to ensure that information is accurate, consistent and that it aligns with brand identity and marketing objectives.

·  Manages staff who assist with project and operational management

·  Develops and manages an ongoing program of SAT product content and information usability, effectiveness, quality testing, and continuous improvement.

 

QUALIFICATIONS

·  Bachelor’s degree in relevant field plus a minimum of 5 years of experience leading and managing a complex content or information operation that includes content development and production as well as ongoing content operations management.

·  Product management or product ownership experience in a print and digital information-based or content-based product is a plus.

·  Ability to help shape, direct and manage content that is timely accurate, compelling and engaging

·  Superior interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and written

·  Advanced problem solving, analytical, and strong critical thinking skills
