This position will report to the Vice President of Sales and Marketing. The responsibilities for this role consist of, but are not limited to the following:
Development of a regional strategy and business development plan to introduce and implement Catapult Learning's extensive portfolio of educational services into Private, Religious, Charter and Public Schools. There will be specific focus on Title I, IDEA, and Professional Development, and other educational markets.
Work closely with regional operations, inside sales and marketing to develop and implement a complete regional business development and marketing plan.
Execute business development and marketing plan through:
Lead Prospecting: Generate new leads by various methods including but not limited to, seminars, targeted marketing campaigns, current customer referrals, local, regional and national trade shows, etc.
Lead Qualifying: Determine whether prospects have funding, plans to purchase services and a need that our products fulfill including researching new and currently available funding in targeted areas.
Create and implement individual account plans to help move each account through the sales cycle from open to close, including RFP response preparation and submission, attending bidder’s conferences and establishing necessary partnerships to secure new business.
Management of the complete development process in your region from qualification to contract execution.
Develop relationships with Private, Religious, Charter and Public School administrators within your region.
Establish and maintain relationships with existing client base, focusing on customer retention and program expansion.
Develop and maintain relationships with appropriate network such as Diocesan, and Private and Religious school leaders, local community leaders, and other influential constituents.
Establish and maintain close working relationships with regional operations, education quality, marketing, inside sales, professional development team, etc.
Work closely with the RFP/proposal manager and inside sales to develop and complete customized customer proposals.
Requires a Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience and at least eight years of related experience preferably in the area of education sales. Excellent interpersonal, verbal, written, and organizational skills. Must have the ability to appropriately communicate with and influence all levels of constituents. Extensive travel throughout New York.
