TITLE:  Director of Vertical Finance and Operations JOB CODE: TBDREPORTS TO:  Vertical Vice President EXEMPT STATUS: ExemptDEPARTMENT: Academic-Art & Health Science Vertical    LOCATION: Cypress CreekHiring Manager: Closing Date:  Supervision:  6 Position SummaryThe Director of Vertical Finance and Operations will be responsible for the overall strategy; process efficiency; and financial analysis of the Vertical.  This position provides the Vertical Vice President and cost center managers with resource planning, budgeting, metrics, and variance analysis to support the strategic and tactical goal of the vertical as well as oversee all Vertical Operations. Typical Activities Include: Develop and implement Vertical academic analytics and associated operations.  Develop an annual and three year plan in conjunction with business partners by focusing on industry performance and corporate goals Identify variances to business plans, intermediate goals, and prior years and take appropriate action Forecast the business implication of identified trends and make appropriate recommendations based on business goals and objectives Determine the drivers of variances, build models to forecast the impact of varying the drivers and recommend appropriate follow up activity Recommend action plans to business partners along with the projected financial implications of each proposed course of action Instill a customer service culture that ensures a proactive approach to identifying and resolving issues Manage all vertical operations staff and processes. This includes monitoring and evaluating processes for efficiencies and implementing changes to improve service levels and use of Vertical resources. In conjunction with the School Deans, evaluate School operational metrics as associated improvements to improve financial operational efficiency of the School/Vertical P & L. Participation and operational responsibility of FIM 1-3 and Vertical Dashboard Participate in KU Technology Operations Team and Liaison to associated projects.
