Early Childhood Teachers (infant-Toddler and Preschool)

We are hiring a part-time and a full-time teacher and have both school year and full year schedules available.  We are seeking one teacher to work with infants and toddlers and one teacher to work with preschoolers.

We are a non-profit preschool with great ratios and wonderful teachers.  The school is  located right off of Mass. Ave. and the #77 bus line.

Successful candidates will: Be warm and responsive and treat children, families, and colleagues with kindness and respect. Demonstrate knowledge of child development and the principles of early childhood education. Be able to develop an emergent curriculum based on the ideas, needs and abilities of the children, and in harmony with the philosophy of AHNS.

Preferred Qualifications: Associate or Bachelor degree or equivalent in Early Childhood Education, Child Development, Developmental Psychology or related field. Certification from the Department of Early Education and Care is essential.

Talented early childhood professionals without the educational qualifications listed above will be considered if they have experience, training and interpersonal skills to work effectively with young children, as well as a commitment to professional development and advancement within the field.

Successful candidates will have excellent communication and interpersonal skills, be able to work well on a team, be flexible, and have a sense of humor. The ability to problem-solve and work collaboratively with teachers, administrators, and families is essential.
