Education Development Manager

I.  Job Summary:

The position of Education Development Manager is a full time position and provides leadership and development to an associations’ education program and curriculum focused on the millwork industry.  The Manager will work closely with the Education Committee and  with leaders of professional development programs and industry organizations.A minimum of 15% traveling is required with this position.


II. Position Summary:

The Education Manager position is responsible for guiding the strategic direction and providing management of all aspects of the education offerings. The Manager oversees the development, scheduling, implementation, administration and evaluation of all education courses and programs including web-based initiatives.The position requires marketing knowledge.

Minimum Requirements:

1.  B.A. or M.B.A. education and marketing.

2.  Minimum 5 years in a related position with increasing responsibility including management of annual plan, budget and supervision of department staff and volunteers.

3.  Experience with curriculum design and implementation.

4.  Knowledge of educational technology and web-site delivery; distance learning, e-learning.

5.  Superlative verbal and written communication skills. Bilingual a plus.

6.  Strong interpersonal and leadership skills for building effective working relationships at all levels within the association and beyond.
