Job Summary

The Education Sales Consultant is responsible for selling LitConn products at the school site and district level. The Education Sales Consultant is accountable for planning and implementing a defined strategic plan for school site/district prospects and clients while maintaining the established sales income budget for their assigned territory.  In addition, this position is responsible for supervising and motivating the Education Materials Sales Specialists and Project Coordinator in the assigned territory.

 

Job ResponsibilitiesProspects and develops new business in territory while maintaining and growing existing customer base.  Works across all levels of school/district hierarchy. Achieves assigned quantitative sales goals for the assigned territory. Plans, directs, supervises, and implements the sales strategies for assigned territory.  This can be accomplished by coordinating, planning and conducting product presentations; coordinating territory special selling events and territory mail/promotional campaigns; and conducting face-to-face sales meetings with prospects/customers. Provides sales forecasts and develops quarterly/yearly sales territory plan. Maintains, updates and develops school site and district account records. Tracks activity within a database, reports progress and closed business. Manages budget through appropriate use of money allocated for marketing materials, employee relations, travel and entertainment. Identifies and co-develops customized educational solutions to meet school/district requirements through interdepartmental collaboration protocols. Maintains strong customer relationships by managing accounts at the school site and district level.  Effectively prioritizes sales vs. account management responsibilities within the assigned territory. Supervises the activities of the Education Material Sales Specialist(s), Project Coordinator and/or Administrative Assistant.  This includes hiring, training, and performance reviews.

 

Requirements

Education:  A Bachelor‘s Degree is required.  A Bachelor’s Degree in an education or business related field is strongly preferred.

 

Experience:  A minimum of 2 years working in an ESL/ELD related capacity is required.  In addition, a minimum of two years of sales experience is required.  Sales supervisory experience is preferred.

 

Special Skills Required:

·  Engages and fulfills required certification and educational professional development provided by LitConn.

·  Becomes knowledgeable in educational federal, state, county and district programs and budgets.

·  Demonstrates strong presentation and speaking skills.

·  Intermediate to expert knowledge of Microsoft Office software and Internet Explorer.

 

Compensation

LitConn is pleased to offer a competitive salary and benefits program which includes $35,000 - $45,000 base salary with potential to exceed $60,000 in total annual compensation in the first year of employment.  The compensation package is performance-based and consists of base salary, commission, bonus, car/phone allowance and special incentives.  In addition, LitConn, Inc. offers a dynamic environment, excellent growth opportunities, tuition reimbursement and a comprehensive benefits package including a generous 401(k).
