ENROLLMENT COUNSELOR

DEPARTMENT OF ENROLLMENT SERVICES

GENERAL RESPONSIBILITIES: This temporary, full time, mid-level administrative position is responsible for recruiting prospective students.  NOTE: Some evening and weekend work is required.

 

 KEY DUTIES:

•          Meets individual enrollment goals.

•          Conducts internet research to identify prospective communities & organizations for collaboration.

•          Networks with organizations and schools to set-up information sessions.

•          Conducts community outreaches and information sessions.

•          Interviews prospective students.

•          Directs new students through the enrollment process.

•          Establishes and maintains relationships with outreach contacts.

•          Works collaboratively with team members and faculty.

•          Related duties as required.

•          Must be comfortable speaking in front of groups

 

QUALIFICATIONS:

Bachelor's degree required; Minimum 3 years of successful college/university admissions/recruiting or community organizing and/or professional sales experience desired; Excellent verbal presentation and written communications skills required; Demonstrated experience and facility with MS Office software; Valid driver's license and access to a vehicle required; Must work effectively as a team member, with a strong customer service orientation; Experience working with and for diverse communities or organizations; Experience working with an adult population desired.

 

SALARY: Commensurate with experience.
