Executive Assistant to the Board

The Executive Assistant to the Board performs key administrative support and functions as a resource to the CEO, reporting to the CEO in support of Board activities, ensuring confidentiality and displaying discretion in all matters.  The Executive Assistant to the Board facilitates special projects for the CEO and Board members including Board Committees; takes and transcribes minutes of Board meetings; has knowledge of regulations and laws pertaining to California public agencies and the Brown Act; works closely with PPH legal counsel in regard to matters pertaining to the Board; assists the Office of the CEO and provides back up for the Assistant to the CEO when requested; and performs other duties as may be determined within the scope of the position.  Performs other duties as assigned.  Follows PPH rules, policies, procedures, applicable laws, and standards.  Carries out the mission, vision, values, and quality commitment of PPH.

Minimum Education Required:  High School Diploma and/or combination of education and experience (and) specialized training and/or coursework in administration, business law, or business management.  Preferred Education:  Associate of Arts degree in Secretarial Science or Business Management.

 

Minimum Experience Required:  5 – 10 years previously demonstrated experience performing the functions of an executive assistant for an executive officer of a medium size company.  Preferred Experience:  At least 5 years experience performing the functions of an executive assistant in either a medium to large public or healthcare organization in California.
