Executive Director, Chief Development Officer

The Plano ISD Education Foundation and Plano Independent School District seek an energetic, experienced professional to assume the role as executive director of one of the fastest growing, most successful Pre-K-12 public school district foundations in Texas.  The Foundation chief executive serves a board of 33 community leaders, and has primary responsibility for generating critical private funds for priority programs identified by the school district and adopted by the Plano ISD Education Foundation for funding. The executive director of the Plano ISD Education Foundation is a loaned employee of the Plano ISD, with competitive salary and all benefits of the Texas public school system.

 

Qualified candidates must have a minimum of five years experience with a demonstrated, successful background in all tiers of fundraising, including: major gifts, annual fund, special events, and planned giving ; and nonprofit management experience, including: board administration, program management, financial management, community and public relations, and supervision of staff and consultants. College degree and proficiency in Microsoft Office software are required. Excellent written and communications skills are a must. Proficiency in Raiser’s Edge, MIP accounting, and event auction software a plus.
