Field Marketing Manager

This position is an excellent opportunity to join a high-performance team that is responsible for developing and implementing Kumon’s local and regional marketing communications programs. This individual brings marketing experience and familiarity with local advertising and guerrilla marketing to enhance the efforts of Kumon Instructors to build community awareness and drive enrollments. Key Responsibilities Develops and implements marketing communications programs in support of Instructors at the local and regional level: Proactively develops individual and co-op marketing programs. Works to plan, create and execute strategies, tactics, and activities for the purpose of conveying the most positive marketing message to target markets and enhancing relationships between both Kumon and Instructors and parents and students. Enforces policies for the effective utilization of the Instructor subsidy program, for both enrollment and retention activities. Works with Instructors to create programs encouraging group participation. Works with Instructors to plan grand openings, award ceremonies, open houses, etc. Conducts market research to determine best community outreach/advertising opportunity for each Center. Meetings with local franchisees to update and assist with the execution of marketing plans. Provides marketing consultations to new and existing franchisees within assigned territory. Coordinates with Creative Services to insure the timely and accurate delivery of materials to Instructors, vendors and Associates. Works with Public Relations to ensure Instructors benefit from the coordination and integration of efforts, including community outreach programs/activities. Requirements: Bachelor's degree. Advanced degree in business or marketing desirable. Requires 3 to 5 years of marketing communications experience. Experience with field marketing or franchise operations a definite plus. Excellent knowledge of local marketing and communications principles and practices. Strong analytical skills and an ability to translate market analysis into marketing insights and plans. Excellent time management, communications, decision making, presentation, human relations and organizational skills. Proficient PC skills. Must be willing to travel.
