Financial Manager- Exciting opportunity to work in the Department of Pediatrics and Family Medicine

Description: Prepare financial reports and analysis for our clinical practice, educational funds, gift funds, state funds, and outside agreements.Prepare budgets, financial reports and make recommendations for appropriate funding sources.Analyze financial data and develop financial projections in collaboration with directors and managersReconcile multiple financial source documents for revenue and expenditures.Oversight for outside billing agreements and maintain adequate tracking systemResponsible for fiscal closing, monitoring funds and maintenance of systems for internal controlServe in the role as Department Security Advisor to set up and monitor payroll, general ledger access and internal audit procedures for employees.Collaborate with Planning Office on policies and procedures.

 

Preferred Requirements:BA degree in Finance, Accounting or Business2 years of experience in budgeting, financial management and /or fund accounting for University or health care operationsSkill in analyzing and monitoring income and expense trendsAbility to effectively communicate verbally and in writing to physicians, administrators, and staff to clearly explain policies, procedures and financial reports.Ability to work independently with minimal direction, establishes priorities, follow through on assignments, adapt to fluctuating workloads, and deadlines.Detail oriented with strong organizational skillsStrong PC skills with high proficiency in Excel; Access experience a plus.
