As a vital part of the Franchise Recruitment & Development Department (FRDD), the Franchise Recruitment Member (FRM) will be responsible for managing and developing franchise growth in your assigned territory. You will be charged with qualifying franchise candidates and then developing them as they go through our Initial Start-Up Training. In all, you will be working with prospective franchisees from initial solicitation of prospect to the time they open a new Kumon Center. Additional responsibilities include site search approval, reviewing potential franchisee business plans, accompanying potential franchisees on In Center Trainings, and working with existing franchisees in the system seeking to relocate or sell the franchise to a candidate approved by Kumon. The selected candidate will also be fully immersed in learning Kumon’s philosophy and curriculum through a management trainee program.  Specific Responsibilities: Develop sales and qualifying approaches and strategies for the territory of AZ, CO, NM, UT, WY, NV (Las Vegas) Conduct Kumon Franchise Seminars (KFS) on continuing basis in territory. Effectively communicate Kumon values and philosophy to education minded individuals and ultimately identify and recommend prospects for Kumon Start Up Training Program Conduct extensive interviews with potential franchise candidates to access their suitability for the Kumon franchise system Handle responding to existing franchisee feedback of planned expansion areas. Work with existing franchisee for sale of center, relocations, terminations and 2nd Center issues Develop prospective franchisees in region with review and making suggestions for their business plans, accompany them during in center trainings, review and recommend for approval their proposed sites, Hold a franchisee orientation and discovery day with prospective franchise applicants. Successfully complete Kumon’s Management Trainee Program. Requirements: Bachelors Degree or higher A strong passion for education Strong presentation skills; comfortable presenting in both large and small groups Excellent consultative and communication skills both in written and verbal formats Extremely flexible travel schedule (approx. 50%) Outstanding people management skills High energy, a positive outlook and self confident Exceptional organizational skills; ability to handle multiple projects is crucial Self-disciplined and proactive with ability to work independently Able to analyze information and data to make sound decisions Ability to effectively prioritize Excel at building immediate rapport with new prospects and existing franchisees Franchising experience is a plus, but not required.
