Graduate Public Health Education Program Director

This is a fulltime administrative position responsible for all academic and administrative direction and oversight of UNE’s College of Osteopathic Medicine (UNECOM) graduate level public health education programs.  The graduate programs include an 18 credit hour Graduate Certificate of Public Health and a 45 credit hour Masters in Public Health (M.P.H.) program.

 

Applicants must possess a masters (M.P.H.) and/or doctorate degree in public health, with a minimum of 5 years of leadership experience in public health, healthcare delivery systems and/or health education program planning, administration and teaching or a combination of education and experience from which comparable knowledge and skills are acquired.  Applicants must demonstrate a strong knowledge of didactic and population-based issues regarding public health training and appreciation of the evidence-based interdisciplinary basis of public health education.  A thorough understanding of the interrelationship between medicine and public health is essential as it relates to the education of clinicians in the graduate public health programs.

 

A history of interaction with public health networks at the state, regional and/or national level and sensitivity to the preparation of competent public health professionals is highly desirable.  This position is situated in UNECOM’s Division of Community Programs located on the Biddeford campus.
