Under the direction of the Radiology Supervisor, perform radiology procedures and administrative functions for the Student Health Radiology Unit. Act as advisor to clerical staff and temporary technical staff in absence of the supervisor. Interact with and respond to guidance from UCLA Radiology radiologist assigned as SHS liaison, for technical direction.

 

Desired Qualifications:Licensure by State of California, Department of Health Services as Certified Radiologist TechnologistRegistered for membership in American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.Graduate of radiology technology training program approved by the American Medical Association or equivalent training.Skill in using the standard fixed and mobile x-ray imaging equipment.Oral and written communication skills to collect and clearly convey information to physicians, staff, patients and the public, using correct vocabulary, grammar and tact. Ability to work as part of a team, and ability to establish cooperative working relationships with administrators, supervisors, doctors, peers and public.Demonstrated skill in supervising technical and clerical staff, to include hiring, training, work assignment, review, discipline and a non-judgmental approach. Skill in operating radiographic film processor.Ability to assess radiographic film quality.
