Provides counsel concerning the human resources impact on operating decisions.Key Job Elements:1. Partners with the Business Unit Leaders to drive business results towards defined EDMC objectives leading to student success.2. Handle all employee relations issues for the Admissions department, This includes PPARs, PIPs, employee questions, exit interviews, terminations, unemployment claims, offer letters, legal, worker’s compensation, supervisor counseling, etc.3. Administer Human Resources policies and procedures as defined by the Corporation. Serve as a resource and main point of contact for HR policy/procedure clarification and as an advisor for Admissions management.4. Review tuition grants and reimbursements for compliance or act as backup.5. Monitor the Admissions Compensation plan.6. Manage FMLA and STD for Admissions department or act as backup.7. Create and support a student and employee focused environment. Plan and design employee communications programs and ensure their implementation. 8. Work with Department heads and VP HR to manage succession planning. Assess training and development needs; provide and coordinate training programs including new hire orientation and competency based.9. Provide problem-solving services to the Admissions department. Coach and conduct conflict resolution and litigation avoidance. Minimize risk to the organization in employee disputes. Act as effective change agent.10. Special projects as assigned.Position Requirements:Position Specifications:1. Bachelors degree or higher in Business, or Behavioral Sciences or other related field; Graduate level Business degree desirable.2. Minimum of 5 years of increasingly responsible HR management experience in employee relations and training within a proprietary educational environment or business setting. 3. Knowledge of Federal, State and local laws and regulations affecting HR.4. Well-developed interpersonal communications and employee relations abilities. Capacity for problem solving, fast paced, negotiations, and a tolerance for unstructured situations.5. PHR or SPHR certification preferred.6. Strong verbal and written communication skills.7. Ability to conduct training sessions in small and large groups 8. Attention to detail – organized and accurate data entry skills9. MS Office proficient10. Ability to work flexible hours.
