Human Resources Assistant
The Culinary Institute of America, the world’s premier culinary college is looking for an individual with strong administrative skills to assist the Human Resources staff.
Responsibilities Include:Pre-screen candidates and schedule interviews for non-exempt and exempt openings with hiring and staffing managerCoordinate and hire temps through temp agencies and process billsRun background checks. Create payroll authorizations for new hires, changes, and terminations. Exiting Process: conduct exit interviews, administer and exiting paperwork using to report basic analysis Produce and distribute orientation checklists/itineraries and new employee first day sign inTrack send and review 45/90 day reviews for new hires Enter applicant information into ADP, including interview tracking, expenses, etc. in order to maintain HR Recruiting Metrics informationCreate, send electronically, and track interview packets (including itinerary when necessary, interview evaluation forms, job descriptions, resumes) to hiring managers and staffing managerPrepares and distributes correspondence, reports, memos, statistics, etcAnswers routine correspondence i.e. applicant inquiries, candidate follow-ups. Performs routine office duties such as filing, opening and distributing mail, answering phones, making appointments, reservations, updating calendars, maintaining personnel files, and acting as receptionist for the Human Resources Office.Process new hires, rehires, changes, terminations and pay rate changes in ADPRun maintenance reports, including Ded calc, Emptiblin, SQRAdd codes into HRIS system as necessaryAdd new department numbers as neededADP system administration backup including an passwords and utilitiesCreate basic and run existing reports in ReportSmith
Required Qualifications:Minimum of 2-3 years experience in Human Resources officeProficiency in an HRIS program (preferably ADP), Word, and Excel, Powerpoint
