IT Compliance Specialist - SOX

Job Summary:

 As the specialist of IT SOX Compliance, you will be responsible implementing progressive IT audit controls and processes to ensure IT's effectiveness and compliance with the Sarbanes-Oxley 404 Act (SOX). You will oversee and participate in IT controls testing, process documentation, and internal control reviews as well as drive the execution of remediation plans.Duties and Responsibilities:

Responsible for governance and reporting for Information Technology, which includes Sarbanes-Oxley, as well as, any other regulatory requirements.
Lead compliance projects and initiatives to implement appropriate and effective IT controlsDesign and implement compliance testing, and documentation across all process domainsReview audit results with appropriate management personnel and provide recommendationsWrite reports and develop presentations to communicate audit findings to managementEnsure SOX inquiries and requests are effectively tracked and followed-up on in a timely mannerProvide timely reporting of SOX testing and remediation status of deficiencies, both internal and externalCoordinate with external auditorMonitor and evaluate changes in SEC rules and regulations surrounding Section 404 and adjust scope as necessaryParticipate in implementation and monitoring of SOX software tools.Knowlege, Skills and Abilities:

Self-motivated with strong leadership, problem solving, and relationship management skills to effectively coordinate the IT SOX design and remediation effortsStrong analytical skills, including problem identification, problem resolution, and information gatheringStrong written and verbal communication skillsStrong follow-through skills with attention to details, monitoring, and updatingHigh degree of flexibility and adaptabilityPlanning and organizing utilizing time management, developing processes, and allocating resourcesAbility to solve practical problems and carry out responsibilities under minimal supervision
Required Experience:
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Systems or related field5+ Years of systems internal control experience
