 IT Instructional Technologies/Media Services Lead

 

The California State University, Northridge (CSUN) division of Information Technology’s MTS Media Services department, seeks a proven professional to provide practical, engaged leadership to the department and faculty to assist in the design and creation of instructional materials using web, video, and multimedia tools.  

 

Reporting to the Senior Director of Academic Technology, the successful candidate will bring a wealth of experience in instructional design principles, web based multi media, and possess the expertise to effectively supervise multimedia, graphics and programming staff  The Instructional Technologies/Media Services Lead will also manage the unit responsible for the learning management system (WebCT), web conferencing application (Elluminate), video production and related instructional technologies, as well as, design and develop instructional materials and applications as assigned.

 

Qualifications: Equivalent to graduation from a four-year college or university in media studies, instructional technology, graphic design or a related field.  Master’s degree preferred.  Equivalent to five years of full-time work experience in instructional technology/media production environment and/or a related field.  Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for-year basis.  Experience developing educational video and multimedia applications in higher education preferred.  Teaching experience desired.  The selected candidate must pass a fingerprint clearance.
