System Engineering Section Manager
Job Summary:
The System Engineering Section Manager will is primarily responsible for the engineering, procurement and implementation of information technology solutions which support ASA and its business partners, exclusive of large-scale software development. In addition, the System Engineering Section Manager is responsible for verifying that the performance of those systems, as well as large-scale solutions developed by the organization, are satisfactory and meet department wide regulations.
Essential Functions:Hands-on management of the activities of engineering staff to satisfy ASA’s business needs, including environmental, hardware, OS, data integrity and storage, third-party application, disaster recovery, printing and desktop technology solutions.Ownership of, and accountability for, all system engineering issues through closure. Engage with project and program management to support projects company-wide.Assign staff to projects and monitor work progress.Review and provide approval for solution designs and architectures.Development and enforcement of engineering best practices.
Qualifications:12+ years Information Technology experience with 7+ years progressively responsible Data Center Operations Management, Software Development Project Management or Development Management experience. Bachelor’s degree or equivalent work experience; BS in Computer Science preferred.Must have experience with successful deployment of software, and closure of issues.
