We have an exciting opportunity to join Pearson's Curriculum group as an Inventory Analyst for our line of Reading/Language Arts products. Pearson's Curriculum group has annual revenues of $1.2 billion, and includes all publishing operations for Pearson's line of pre-K through 12 educational products. This position can reside in either the Glenview, IL or Upper Saddle River, NJ offices.Essential responsibilities include, but are not limited to:' Performing trend analysis of forecasts, sales, sales history, and sample products; and making adjustments to print quantities and assembly schedules as needed' Utilizing inventory systems to generate reports that identify titles with potential risks to the purchase plan' Submitting recommendations of print quantities and bound book dates to managers for approval' Responding to inquiries from Sales, Marketing, Customer Service, Product Development, and Warehousing to insure inventory concerns are addressed and resolved in a timely manner; working with Procurement to insure the timely release and delivery of purchase orders; and reviewing backorder reports' Creating and entering full year inventory purchase plan and kit assembly plan to support budgeted revenue and sampling forecasts' Reviewing and approving large depository stocking orders and reviewing and recommending titles for destruction/donation' Performing SAP maintenance including reviewing product attributes, ISBN review, and the input and maintenance of Bills of Material in SAP Basic qualifications for this position include:' Bachelor's Degree and/or 2 or more years experience with inventory analysis in an operations, distribution, and/or customer service field ' Knowledge of the book publishing/production process, school adoption and cycle process a plus' Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills ' Ability to work independently and in a team setting' Strong PC skills (MS Office) with the ability to learn inventory systems (DOPS, SAP, Business Objects, CAMs)Applicants can submit a resume and cover letter with salary requirements via the online application process or via www.pearsoned.com/careers Please note that you will only be contacted if selected for an interview.
