Junior Editor/Writer - English Language Arts

Owned by one of the most well-respected private investment firms, Providence Equity Partners, Inc. (Rhode Island), the Company is experiencing rapid growth, and we are seeking full-time Junior Writer/ Editors to design, edit, and write English Language Arts curriculum for grades 2 through 12. This job is perfect for those who are passionate about English, literature, and education, but do not want to teach in a traditional classroom setting. Study Island is based in Dallas and has products and employees nationwide. We offer a fun, casual work environment at an established, successful, and rapidly-growing company.

Other responsibilities will include:Assist in editing and writing English Language Arts curriculum Organize and maintain large amounts of academic content

Qualifications: B.A. degree or higher (English, Education, or Technical Writing a plus) Impeccable writing skills Attention to detail Computer savvy (Word, Excel, Internet research, basic HTML a plus) Experience in teaching or standards-based education a plus

Compensation & Benefits:Salary plus bonuses totaling 35,000 to 43,000 per year Health benefits 401(k)
