Lab Technician

LAB TECHNICIAN

Community College of Beaver County is seeking applicants for a full-time Lab Technician. Bachelor of Science Degree in Biology or related field required. Duties include but not limited to: Coordinate and prepare materials for individual instructor's use in classroom presentations and lab assignments. Coordinate faculty, staff and administration in meeting safety and environmental standards dictated by local, state, and national agencies. Order and inventory all materials to maintain adequate supplies for all biology, chemistry and physics classes. Maintain pure cultures of algae, bacterial, and molds for microbiology classes. Properly dispose of all wast materials for all biology, chemistry and physics classes. Keep schedule flexible to accommdate changes from one semester to another and the preparation of labs. Salary $15.00 per hour including health benefits for a flexible 37 1/2 hour workweek.
