We are currently seeking an experienced professional for the following opportunity: Lead Business Analyst - HRIS This person will become a functional expert within a specific business operations area and support the users by ensuring critical issues are resolved, users receive appropriate training and direction, and internal developers and 3rd party vendors receive appropriate business requirements and specifications to improve software applications as business dictates. Act as functional team lead on internal projects and mentor other team members. Responsibilities: • Lead projects to enhance the information systems and surrounding business processes: Investigate and analyze information systems, methods and procedures related to Human Resources, Benefits, Payroll, Time Entry and Recruiting • Drive improvements in systems and functional processes • Define and document user requirements • Develop and/or review detailed design • Plan and perform unit testing, integration testing, regression testing, user acceptance testing, conversion and implementation • Document system requirements and work with business sponsors to determine priority of enhancements to software applications, and work with developers and 3rd party vendors in delivering enhancements and modifications • Participate in software release testing. • Assist in the development of user training for newly released features • Act as second/third level support for software applications and escalate issues to developers and 3rd party vendors as appropriate Requirements: • Strong analytical skills • Ability to effectively translate business requirements into system requirements • Excellent communication, written and group facilitation skills • Proven ability to effectively manage projects, tasks, and activities • Strong understanding of PeopleSoft HCM applications with deep, demonstrable functional proficiency in one or more areas (v8.8 or higher is preferred) • Excellent Microsoft Office and Visio Skills • Experience in the post secondary education field, preferably for profit • At least one full life cycle PeopleSoft implementation/upgrade project completion in a functional role • Five years experience supporting ERP systems such as SAP, Peoplesoft, Oracle, JD Edwards, Workday, etc. • Project Management (PMP) certification • Four-year degree highly preferred Career Education Corporation offers competitive salaries and a comprehensive benefit program that includes: Medical, Dental, 401(k), Employee Stock Purchase Program and Tuition Assistance.
