Lead Instructional Designer

Wilkes University invites applicants for a full-time Lead Instructional Designer position in the Graduate Education Department beginning June 1, 2008. Wilkes University is an independent institution of higher education with approximately 2,200 undergraduate and 3,000 graduate students located in Wilkes-Barre, Pennsylvania, a mid-sized city within two and one-half hours driving distance of New York City and Philadelphia. The Graduate Education Department offers several innovative online degree programs, including a new master’s degree in Instructional Media offered in collaboration with Discovery Education.

 

The successful candidate is responsible for consulting with faculty to assist in the design and development of online and hybrid graduate courses. The position also leads a team of web development specialists to create instructional resources and multimedia.  A master’s degree in Instructional Design or a related field is required.  The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years prior experience working with university faculty. Salary is commensurate with qualifications and experience.
