Learning & Development Manager

Job Summary:

 

Bridgepoint Education, the parent company of Ashford University seeks a self motivated individual who desires a team environment that promotes a high level of creativity and enterprise. The L&D Manager will have company-wide responsibilities as well as a department specific function.



Primary Duties and Responsibilities: Facilitating and delivering instructor-led training courses and WebCasts for department and company specific initiatives. Identifying professional development needs for department, leadership, and other mandatory programs.Work to develop courses and evaluate course content to remain compliant and up-to-date.Design and develop training materials, resources and tools to meet performance needs. Educate and coach managers and employees to enhance the effectiveness of learning.Conduct post training follow-up to ensure learning objectives have been met and understood.Serve as a liaison with department VPs and Managers.Manage employees and processes.Plan to meet departmental and organizational goals

Required knowledge, skills, and abilities:

Master's degree required or comparable experience and a bachelor’s degreePrevious management experienceExperience within Online Higher Education preferredExcellent presentation skillsExceptional verbal, written, and interpersonal communicationMust be proficient in Microsoft SuiteMust be willing to travel
