Licensed Veterinary Technician (LVT) in Bangor, Maine
University College of Bangor, a campus of the University of Maine at Augusta, is recruiting for a LVT to work in the Veterinary Technology program. This is a full-time, professional position working a ten month work year (one month during the summer and nine months during the academic year). Primary responsibilities include: modeling collaborative professional relationships between LVT’s and Veterinarians; providing efficient operations of the laboratories, both required and optional; assisting with the laboratory portion of the Veterinary Technology program; assisting in providing a quality educational experience. Required Qualifications: a degree in Veterinary Technology and a current Maine license as a Veterinary Technologist; demonstrated expertise in Clinical Veterinary skills; practice management equipment; supply maintenance; excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
Salary: The salary range is low-to-mid thirties, commensurate with qualifications and experience. The University offers an excellent pro-rated fringe benefits package including health insurance, life insurance, paid holidays, paid vacation days, paid sick days, and tuition waiver benefits.
