A leader in medicine for more than 230 years, The University of Pennsylvania opened its School of Medicine in 1765. Since its founding days, Penn has expanded medical frontiers by creating some of the nation's earliest programs including Dermatology, Neurosurgery, Ophthalmology and Radiology. We currently are the only Delaware Valley program to offer transplantation of five major organs, further demonstrating our commitment to scientific discovery and patient care.
Duties:
Identify, manage, and present study activities, project team priorities and planning agendas. Communicate project needs and information to participating clinical centers, committee members and internal project team members. Develop and maintain project related documents, standard operating procedures, clinical procedures and Manuals of Operations. Coordinate project logistics and resources for internal developmental and scientific project teams and external project related committees to ensure clear project related communications.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in a health-related discipline plus additional 5 -7 years relevant work experience, or equivalent, involving clinical research project management and/or clinical center operations, and project planning activities is required. Significant experience interacting with multi-disciplinary teams is required. This experience must include full responsibility for personal and professional commitment to collaboratively established objectives. Significant knowledge of Project Management business practices and principals, Project Management standards and procedures is required. Excellent oral and written communication skills as evidenced by greater than 5 years experience are required. A demonstrated ability to effectively present complex information is required. Ability to interact effectively with many levels of faculty, staff, and administrative personnel is also required. Significant skill and experience in the development of Project Management related infrastructure such as standards, guidelines, and procedures are desired. This position is contingent upon funding.
