POSITION DESCRIPTION AND DUTIES
As part of the Graduate Career Management Center’s Employer Relations team, the Manager of Corporate Relations will serve as a primary liaison between the Center and employers of MBA students, focusing on specific industry groups. The individual will manage specific company relationships and employer-related events, and assist in outreach to prospective employers. Employer relations’ strategies and activities are designed to enhance and reinforce College-wide corporate relations efforts. The Manager reports to the Assistant Director of Employer Relations.
Responsibilities of the position will include, but are not limited to:
• Conducts research among prospective and current employers to clearly identify their needs and how best to meet them;
• Communicates regularly with assigned employers to keep them informed of events, programs, and other news, and stay abreast of recruiting developments, company and industry issues, and market trends;
• Plans and coordinates On-Campus Recruiting program, career fairs, industry panels, corporate information sessions, guest speakers, company site visits for students, and other employer-related events;
• Oversees the posting of all full-time and internship positions, and initiate contact and follow-up with employers posting positions at Zicklin;
• Manages job postings for select opportunities, including communicating with the employer, marketing the opportunity to students, tracking the posting period and applicant process, and ensuring employer needs are met;
• Tracks and reports all employer outreach, employer activity on- and off-campus, and position postings;
• Works with employer relations team to execute employer relations strategy and outreach;
• Assists the Center Director and Assistant Director of the Employer Relations in servicing employer relationships initiated by the Office of the President, College Advancement, and the Office of the Dean of the Zicklin School of Business;
• Serves as liaison between Center and employers of graduate student interns, and tracks and utilizes employer information associated with internship providers;
• Assists in the development of Center literature and ensure distribution to appropriate employers;
• Presents Employer Relations Team objectives at Student Orientation, employer meetings, and other Zicklin School of Business events;
• Works closely with Career Advisors to gather student information and communicate employer information and activity;
• Shares information and ideas from the marketplace with Center staff and other appropriate stakeholders for the purpose of better preparing students and developing employer relationships; and
• Performs other related duties as assigned.
QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS
A Bachelor's degree and four (4) years of experience in career services, corporate recruiting, human resources, higher education, marketing, business, and/or a related field are required. A Master’s degree is preferred. Must have the ability to work collaboratively in a team environment. Must have strong research, organizational, technical, interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills. Must be detail oriented and have the ability to multi-task, follow-up, and meet deadlines. Candidates should have a clearly defined interest in working in a graduate business school. The ideal candidate will have a strong knowledge of the career management and job search processes, as well as the types of industries and jobs generally pursued by graduate business students. Experience with computer and web technology uses in recruiting is essential.
