American Career College (ACC) has been helping people succeed for 30 years, and we are currently recruiting for an Adjunct Massage Therapy Instructor for our Norco Campus. This is an outstanding opportunity for a service oriented individual to help our students begin their journey toward their new careers.

 

Job Description:  The instructor’s primary function is to instruct classes according to an approved course syllabus using accepted and effective teaching methods in such a way as to contribute to the achievement of the institutional goals.  Additional duties include advising and tutoring students through regular office hours and ad hoc sessions.  Maintain current and accurate attendance and grade records, as well as to develop stimulating daily lesson plans.  Faculty members are also expected to remain current in their teaching field and to participate in faculty meetings, instructional seminars, and in-service training sessions.

 

Qualifications:  Candidates must have a minimum three (3) years practical experience, a Massage Therapy Certificate, and current CPR. You will need excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, to instruct classes and motivate students to learn.  Must have the ability to work effectively with minimal supervision.  Although not absolutely necessary, the successful candidate would benefit from experience teaching at a vocational school.
