Massage Therapy Instructor (On Call)

Everest College – Ontario, CAGeneral Duties:Provide students with the skills necessary to succeed in the massage therapy field Maintain a teaching assignment each module Follow a planned course instruction based upon approved syllabus/outline provided to ensure course content and learning objectives are met Distribute a copy of the module calendar to all students at first class meeting Design, administer, and grade examinations Actively maintain student retention by keeping accurate daily attendance records, calling absent students, recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting, and communicating any attendance concerns to the Program Chair or DOE Schedule and post office hours to advise, tutor, and provide other student assistance as needed. Assist in the development and implementation of active learning lessons. Requirements:Licensed or certified Massage Therapist with at least 3 years’ experience in the field Respect and caring for both the massage profession and students Ability to train students in proper body mechanics and clinical massage skills Ability to apply diverse teaching methods to students of various ages and learning styles Excellent customer service, organizational and motivational skills Strong team orientation Teaching experience a plus, but not required, will train Energetic and outgoing personality is also a plus We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits including a comprehensive healthcare program and 401(k) plan.
