Medical Insurance Billing/Coding Instructor (On Call)

Everest College – Ontario, CA General Duties:· Maintain a teaching assignment each module· Plan course instruction based on approved syllabus/course outline provided to ensure course content and learning objectives are met· Distribute a copy of the module calendar to all students at first class meeting · Cover all material in depth and scope as described in syllabus· Utilize a variety of teaching techniques to accommodate the learning styles of a diverse student enrollment· Design, administer and grade examinations· Actively maintain student retention by keeping accurate daily attendance records, calling absent students, recording absentee information in roster after each class meeting, and communicating any attendance concerns to the Program Chair or DOE· Schedule and post office hours to advise, tutor and provide other student assistance as needed Requirements:· CCS or CPC certification with 3+ years’ strong documented experience in medical insurance billing/coding· Excellent computer skills and familiarity with Medisoft (MedWare preferred)· Teaching experience preferred, but not required, will train We offer competitive compensation and excellent benefits including a comprehensive healthcare program and 401(k) plan.
