Medical School Consultant

Founded in 2001, Veritas Prep is a global leader in GMAT education and admissions consulting.  The company employs more than 300 graduates of the world's elite graduate programs from its headquarters in Malibu, CA.  Veritas Prep's consulting practice introduced customized service to the MBA admissions process through an expert team of former admissions officers and graduates from the world's top MBA programs.  They are passionate about helping their clients gain entry into their schools of choice, and the results have been spectacular.  Former Veritas Prep clients currently attend all of the world's top MBA programs.




Working as a medical school consultant in the newest arm of Veritas Prep's successful admissions consulting division.  Providing strategic advice, program knowledge, insider perspective, and professional, quality editing feedback to candidates applying to the nation's top medical schools.  Sharing acquired knowledge and strategic ideas that will help shape Veritas Prep's newest program as well as larger issues in the field of medical school admissions.

Responsibilities:

Application and Writing Sample Evaluation:Strategically evaluate personal statements and other writing samplesEdit AMCAS and supplemental application materials for content and styleAnalyze resumes and other application materialsProduce evaluative scores and commentary on complete application portfolios

Mentorship Functions:
Advise candidates on school choices, financial issues, and other key medical school issuesWork with candidates to generate a personalized medical school game planManage client timelines and application processesPrepare candidates for critical medical school interviews
Strategic Support
Assist Veritas Prep in identifying most valuable services and functionsPresent Veritas Prep information and services in public forums
Requirements:

Education:  Current student or M.D. from a top medical school is required.

Qualifications: Strong interpersonal and communication skills.  Passion for the educational process and a desire to aid students in succeeding to the best of their abilities. Comprehension of the medical school admission process and industry, particularly at former program. Ability to assess a candidate's application in the context of a top medical school program.  Writing, editing, and proofreading skills.  The ideal candidate will have admissions experience at a top medical school, however dynamic graduates from top schools will also be considered.
