Music Instructor

Our growing music center is searching for experienced music educators of all instruments, especially GUITAR. Lessons are primarily 1-on-1, but the opportunity to teach groups is just around the corner. Teachers must be willing to adhere to a standardized curriculum, either Alfred or Suzuki. Suzuki certification or experience in teaching the Suzuki method is a plus. Experience teaching large groups is a plus. Experience teaching children 6-12 years old is a plus.We are particularly searching for: Guitar (Electric + Acoustic)/Electric Bass Clarinet/Saxophone/Flute Violin/Viola/Cello Upright Bass Percussion Early Music Education VoiceWe are also searching for a music teacher interested in working part-time at our front desk, in addition to teaching lessons. Responsibilities will include answering phones, scheduling appointments, selling materials and instruments, and collecting payments. Please indicate if you are also interested in this position.Requirements for prospective instructors: Some teaching experience or a music education background Must be available during peak hours at least 2 days during the week (approx. 3-8 PM) Open to using the Suzuki philosophy in teaching regardless of the method used. In practice, this means extensive parent involvement in lessons. Instructors must be able to communicate, teach and get along with parents.
