Part-Time Registered Nurse

Milton Academy, established in 1798, is an independent coeducational national and day school, serving 1,000 students in grades K–12.  The 125-acre campus is located eight miles south of Boston. 

Milton Academy seeks a Part-Time Registered Nurse beginning September 1, 2008 working an academic year schedule. The part-time Nurse will work:

 

· Every Wednesday evening on site: 4pm to Midnight

· Every Sunday night (on-call): Midnight to 8am (Monday)

· Once a month Saturday and Sunday (on-call): 8am to 4pm

 

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

· RN licensed in Massachusetts

· Two years experience in school nursing, or pediatric and/or adolescent nursing.

· Understanding of developmental needs of school-aged children and adolescents.

· CPR Certification

· Experience in assessing and treating common illnesses and injuries, crisis management, and telephone triage

· Ability to function independently within the limits of RN practice and seek help appropriately

· Strong interpersonal skills, specifically in interactions with children and adolescents

· Flexibility in RN role

Salary is commensurate on experience
