Program Coordinator: Lesley at Tacoma Community College

JOB TITLE: Program Coordinator: Lesley at Tacoma Community College Program, Tacoma, Washington .5 FTE  
 
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: The Lesley at TCC Program Coordinator will manage the Lesley University Residency Certification programs that are approved in collaboration with Tacoma Community College, Tacoma, Washington. This is a .5 exempt administrative position. Qualified individuals may be eligible for appointment with faculty rank. Reporting to the Associate Dean of the School of Education, the Program Coordinator will, among other duties:  
 
-Coordinate the development of course and program offerings with program faculty;  
-Maintain the academic integrity and quality of the programs;  
-Support the work of core faculty in the programs;  
-Coordinate recruitment, orientation, training, and evaluation of adjunct faculty;  
-Advise students through the major portion of their program with particular attention to administrative concerns and issues


REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS: Master's degree in Education and Teacher Certification from Washington State are required; an earned doctorate is highly desirable. A record of effective teaching for 3+ years is required, with preference for teaching in K-8 and/or special education and 3 to 5 years of administrative experience are required. Ability to travel to attend meetings and carry out the work of the program. Evidence of professional commitment to programs that emphasize preparing teachers to teach culturally, linguistically, and academically diverse students with and without disabilities, and on the integration of technology into curriculum and teaching.
