Program Director, M-LINC (Part-time)

The Milwaukee Legal Initiative for Nonprofit Corporations [M-LINC] Program Director (part time, regular) will work with the Marquette University Law School Assistant Dean for Public Service and related faculty to administer and promote Marquette's M-LINC Program throughout the greater Milwaukee area.

The Program Director will serve as a liaison between the academic program, volunteer attorneys, area partners, and the nonprofit industry to create and sustain a coalition which disseminates legal information and voluntary legal resources to area nonprofit agencies that cannot otherwise afford legal services. The Program Director will assist in building a sustainable M-LINC program over the next five years.

Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
The M-LINC Program Director will demonstrate effective problem solving skills and the ability to navigate both administrative tasks and interpersonal relations. Experience in business management, particularly related to nonprofit organizations, and high level interaction with attorneys will enable the director to effectively identify and assess legal issues posed by nonprofits, as well as recruit and support lawyers who will provide voluntary counsel to these nonprofits. Thus, the Program Director must be familiar with both law firm and nonprofit culture and interact effectively with disparate stakeholders from academia, foundations, law firms, and nonprofit agencies. The Program Director will demonstrate initiative in creating programming viewed as valuable by both volunteers and recipient agencies. In addition, the Program Director must have a familiarity with basic office software, be able to conduct effective process documentation, and have experience with public speaking or teaching.

A Juris Doctor with managerial experience is preferred and an MBA is helpful.
