PROGRAM/PROFESSIONAL NETWORK MANAGER

SCHOTT FELLOWSHIP IN EARLY CARE AND EDUCATION

CAMBRIDGE COLLEGE

 

SUMMARY STATEMENT:  This full time, grant-funded on a year-to-year basis position, requires an experienced professional to lead and support our dynamic engaged networks of child advocates, elementary school principals and early educators.  Reporting to the Executive Director, oversees fundraising and program operations for the leadership programs, including, communication strategies, alumni activity, and the development of new initiatives.  Additionally, will supervise support staff and interns and work closely with consultants to conduct evaluation, research, and writing projects.

 

The purpose of the Schott Fellowship in Early Care and Education is to ensure the opportunities for diverse and representative leadership in state-focused policy advocacy for children.  In its fifth year, the innovative year-long leadership program identifies and supports mid-career leaders in Massachusetts who demonstrate both commitment and experience in working within communities of color or economically underserved communities. Fellows are expected to become “architects of change” as visible leaders in significant positions of public policy and in their research address issues that are immediately actionable.

 

SPECIFIC DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

•  Fund raising

•  Project management

•  Develops new initiatives

•  Works with all office employees to be responsible for the overall day to day management, organization, and coordination of program activities and procedures for our leadership programs for child advocates and early educators

•  Related duties and responsibilities as required.

 

 

QUALIFICATIONS: Bachelors degree required; 3-5 years professional experience in fund raising and project management; Must be a mature self-starter, highly motivated, and able to work well independently and collaboratively; Be a significant individual contributor within a strong team; Must possess strong computer/internet skills and knowledge of MS Office software; Familiarity with new technologies, including “social networking” and web updates; Knowledge of website maintenance a plus; Must demonstrate strong professional service values;

 

Enjoy contributing to the success of other people; Can effectively and successfully manage multiple and sometimes competing priorities in a fast-paced environment; Value opportunities to be creative and design programs and systems; Have interest in the education and well being of children and the adults who support them; Strong oral and written communication skills; Focus on customer and professional service; Budget management, marketing, and research skills highly desirable.

 

SALARY: Commensurate with the position and candidate qualifications.
