Radiography Program Director Job Description Sanford-Brown College is part of Career Education Corporation, one of the world's largest providers of quality, private, for-profit post-secondary education, operating over 80 campuses worldwide. We have an immediate opportunity at our Fenton, MO campus:Radiography Program Director Responsibilities: Work with Director of Education to create program curriculum in compliance with program accreditations standards. Correspond with programmatic accreditation and/or licensing agencies and complete required reports in order to create programmatic accreditation and/or licensure status Develop externship/practicum/clinical affiliations as required by program Participate in searches for program faculty Submit annual operating and capital budget recommendations to the Division Chair and Provost during the budgetary process Make curriculum and textbook proposals to the Academic Council as indicated by program evaluation, accreditation/licensure requirements, or market needs Deliver curriculum as intended by the catalog and approved syllabi on schedule, meeting all stated objectives and related timelines. Ensure that total contact hours for courses taught are delivered. Conduct classes using organized and interesting methods, which simulate a work environment and facilitate student motivation. (Assume responsibility for student learning rather than allowing students to fail to learn.) Serve as a professional role model for students. Strive to improve instructional effectiveness. Monitor and record daily class attendance and grades within the established procedures. Attend faculty meetings, in-services training sessions, instructional meetings as required. Participate in at least four (4) professional development activities annually in order to remain current in field of instruction (information as well as technology). These activities can include participation in professional organizations, workshops, in-services, and work application. Develop and administer examinations based upon stated course objectives. Correct and return quizzes, tests, and lab assignments by the next class session. Maintain posted office hours of at least 3 - 5 hours per week. Provide tutoring and informal advising to students as needed. Work with the college administration, staff and other faculty members to improve the overall operation of the college and student satisfaction rates. Provide feedback to the Academic Dean or Department Chair regarding potential improvement of the curriculum.
