Real Estate Director

Job Summary: This position is responsible for the planning, organizing and management of all real estate transactions for KLC’s Real Estate and Development Group within a defined geographic area. This position directs activities of real estate brokers, appraisers, assessors, and consultants. Plans and develops strategic to execute acquisition and disposition of real estate assets within a defined territory. Negotiates complex transactions and oversees documentation of purchase/sale agreements, lease renewals, sale/leaseback renewals, subleases, options, easements, and shared access agreements. This position reports on deal status as required. Responsible for planning, organizing, and asset management of KLC’s real estate portfolio of new and existing properties. Position involves the review of real estate investments both on an individual asset and portfolio basis, monitoring performance, and the evaluation of financial/operating trends. Responsible for managing special projects as needed. Allocation of Responsibilities:  New center contract review – 30% Existing center management – 40% Strategic solution development in declining markets – 15% Management of asset disposition – 15% Adaptability Requirements:  High-Position requires a high degree of adaptability.  Incumbent will be faced with a variety of issues on a day-to-day basis and will be expected to respond to these issues appropriately. Working Conditions:Some travel with overnight stays is required. Experience and Education: Bachelor’s degree required 5+ years experience in real estate development requiredKnowledge, Skills, and Abilities:  Multi-disciplinary knowledge of corporate real estate, development and asset management is required.We offer a comprehensive benefits package, childcare discount and more!
