Regional Sales - Higher Education Market

 

Ad Astra Information Systems is the leading developer of event management and room scheduling systems for the higher education market.  The growth of our company and internal promotions have created an opportunity for an ethical and ambitious individual to join our sales and marketing team.

 

Ad Astra is looking for a Regional Sales Specialist to help identify prospective clients who may benefit from our solutions. Region assignment may be anywhere in North America, and region managers may anticipate up to 50 percent travel.

 

Primary Responsibilities:

 Develop a meaningful dialog with current and prospective clients through personal contact, e-mail and telephone Actively listening to clients in order to gain an accurate understanding of their business processes and potential needs Demonstrate the features, benefits and limitations of Astra Schedule solutions Collaborate with internal team members to develop a rational and meaningful project scope, business case and path to successful resolution

 

Education and Experience:Bachelor's degree Minimum of 10 years experience in external business-to-business sales Expertise in at least two sales methodologies Experience presenting products in a live forum to large groups Competency with financial return-on-investment models Working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, Outlook) Desire for increased responsibility and promotion Knowledge of key operational practices in higher education
